Handling, as purchasing-director at the company, an amount of 95.000 tonn./year approximately in carbon steels (coils + sheets) and 6.000 tonn./year in "steel taylored blanks" (application is: automotive - OEM). Besides that, my purchasing area includes ab turnover of 45.000.000 €/year in direct buying of semi-finished and finished metallic components (made in steel, plastics and rubber), shared on 47 different suppliers (Italy + Poland, Germany, Ireland, Spain, SouthAfrica and South Korea), mainly linked to L.L.A.-contracts or choosen toward global sourcing & e-auction tecniques. Getting a deep decrease in:- total suppliers’ number (direct & indirect);- piece-prices, achieving outstanding savings; - human resources involved in the relevant offices;- raw materials total amount of cost (for an amount of 110.000 tonn./year in steels, coils and blanks, plus aluminium shapes).

During a period of a four years, i did negotiate succesfully 16.000 tonn./year of mainly ferritic stainless steels in coils plus 12.000 in tubes and additional quantities in aluminated steels (application was: exhaust-systems for cars and vans), during my experience at Magneti Marelli Exhaust Systems (at Venaria, Turin) and Magneti Marelli Central Purchasing Office (close to Milan).In the same experience, my purchasing department was also encharged of 55.000.000 €/year in direct buying of semi-finished and finished components and subsystems (dies & moulds: plates, end-cones, flexible joints, bended tubes, fiberglass, paints, cast iron collectors, flanges, baffles, etc.), produced on seven different countries worldwide, plus some low-cost country.
