As a Research Assistant at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), I apply my Biochemistry and Molecular Biology knowledge and skills to address public health challenges and improve the well-being of communities. I work with established researchers on projects related to viral hemorrhagic fevers control, focusing on cell culture, serology, and molecular biology techniques. I also contribute to the assessment of the risk of Rift Valley Fever and other arboviruses transmission in Nguruman, Kajiado county. I graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Dec 2021. I have also completed a certificate in International Computer Digital Literacy at KCA University, which enables me to use various software and tools for data analysis and presentation. My core competencies include Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Sample Preparation, and Sample Reception. I am motivated by the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, collaborate with diverse teams, and support evidence-based interventions that can save lives and enhance health outcomes.
