Ash Gupta is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Galaxy Capital Partners (GCP), a global, diversified-investment management firm specializing in energy infrastructure, data centers, and digital assets. As Managing Partner, Ash oversees the company’s strategies, due diligence, deal execution, investor relations, and financial analysis. Ash also currently leads Emerald Star Capital, a Palo Alto based social impact fund that invests in companies with unique technologies in the areas of healthcare delivery, healthcare IT, diagnostics, and therapeutics. Previously, Ash was responsible for leading the technical team at Alphataraxia (ATX), an energy-focused quantitative investment management group focused on energy markets. Here, Ash developed tools and techniques for visualizing and analyzing virtual energy and day-ahead energy markets in PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, MISO, and CAISO. His team also managed trading across the PJM and ERCOT sectors and developed machine learning algorithms that informed trading decisions. Before ATX, Ash was the Co-founder and CTO of Healthfinch, a clinical AI workflow optimization technology that integrates into electronic medical record (EMR) systems to automate the prescription refill request workflow, assist in pre-visit planning, and identify care gaps. Today, Healthfinch covers over 80% of patients across the US. The platform was acquired by Health Catalyst (NASDAQ: HCAT) in 2020 for $40 million. Ash graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a bachelor’s in business administration, majoring in Management and Finance and minoring in Computer Science. Ash is a Bloomberg 25 under 25 honoree.
