About Gemma Sharp
I'm driven by a desire to improve the health of women and young people and to reduce health inequalities, through generating and communicating high quality scientific evidence. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have built a 15+ year career around researching and teaching reproductive and mental health epidemiology.I now lead a successful research programme and an 11-week course on women's reproductive mental health. I also direct an international research consortium called Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause and Mental Health (4M). Our vision is to help create a world in which menstrual and menopausal experiences are not a barrier to good mental health and wellbeing.
