About Gloria Despacio-Reyes

Biological scientist (retired) with extensive experience and skills, including genome analysis and annotation. She worked as a senior computer biologist in GENCODE, which was a subproject of the global collaborative project ENCODE, based at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. With a strong educational background in the biological sciences, she has developed some expertise, including genomics, molecular biology, genetics and microbiology. She has teaching experience in both on campus and online settings. She loves sharing as shown by a significant number of volunteering works. She has authored more than 15 publications and a patent. Earlier in her career, she obtained a certificate in online teaching and learning.
