Gloria Dotson-Lewis has worked in healthcare for over 20yrs at Northwestern Medicine. Her passion to help the most vulnerable led her to return to school to complete both her Bachelors (2016) and Masters (2017) degrees in the field of Social Work from Governors State University and soon after acquire her social work license (LSW). Instead of taking the traditional route of transitioning immediately into the field, Gloria followed her dream of starting a nonprofit organization called Distinctively Me to provide support and resources to adolescent girls of color in underserved communities. With her skills, education and experiences, she is now able to work in various areas of social work and as a nonprofit leader giving her the flexibility to serve diverse populations in need.
