Guia Allyza D. Rabacca, OTRP, is a dedicated and service-driven occupational therapist registered in the Philippines specializing in pediatric populations with developmental conditions in center-based and community-based rehabilitation settings. She is a strong advocate for inclusive development through the inclusion and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities through collaborative partnerships with families and communities.🎓 Guia received her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Philippines Manila. After ranking second place in the Philippines' national licensure examination for occupational therapy, she went on to practice her profession as an occupational therapy consultant in several well-known therapy clinics in Metro Manila. She also continued to pursue a practice in community-based rehabilitation with the University's Community Based Rehabilitation Program.🩺 Until present, she is actively engaged in community-based health and development programs through collaborative work with various non-government organizations, people's organizations, and local government units through my work with the University's CBR Program.📚 In 2018, she decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Family Life and Child Development as a Teaching Associate for the University which allowed her to maintain an equal teaching and study load. As she continued to pursue her graduate studies, she also continued to assist the Department of Occupational Therapy in developing, delivering, and evaluating teaching-learning materials for BS Occupational Therapy students.🇵🇭 She is a regular active member of the Philippine Academic of Occupational Therapists, the official professional organization of OTs in the Philippines, and served as the Co-chairperson for the Committee of Community-Based Rehabilitation from 2016 to 2019. 💡 As a lifelong learner, she endeavors to maximize opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge needed to enrich a professional OT practice by engagingly attending and participating in relevant conferences, congresses, workshops, and seminars.
