As part of the Design Division of Skyline Toronto, my roles include: Graphic Design and Exhibit Design for Modular and Island Exhibits for many different clients or companies at difference Trade Show Events. Dealing with clients directly to come to a final production; ensuring the design is appropriate and appealing to the required audience. As part of the major criteria, I have to deal with both 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional designs; dealing with programs like KeyShot, Strata 3D, IronCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

As part of the Graphic Design Division of PostNet, I possess a strong sense of interpersonal and communicative skills, as this is a key requirement as part of this team. The graphic designer is responsible for directly communicating with the clients (either it be walk-in clients or pre-established companies) and design according to their requests. On a daily basis, a series of different kinds of clients come in and request for Print Designs or Media on a tight schedule. (Deadlines can range from within the next hour to days, depending on the project.) Being the Graphic Designer, my main role is to manage the clients’ requests and provide a professional feedback on the given situation and/or graphic services wherever possible. Projects are strictly print-based; ranging from branding, stationery, brochures, signs, and other printed medias.

This is my personal Freelance Company that I have enlisted, with the main purpose to offer the all-around Graphic and Web Development service for potential clients. The main areas of expertise included: Designing, Branding, Printing, Uploading and managing their websites, and Providing professional feedback and suggestions on their company direction. The company covers Print and Web Based projects, with clients like: Audio Heaven, 360 Auto Services, Moonlight Gel Candles, etc.

As part of the Design Team, I was given the responsibility to work with a group of designers to come up with specific design approaches and/or themes. Depending on the project, it can be undergone through individual thinking or organized teamwork. As the Junior Graphic Designer, the main kind of duties included using Adobe’s Creative Suite (focusing on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver) for Print and Web productions. Although, there was a Creative Lead, I had to deal with clients directly when a project was handed over to me. I was expected to deal with the clients with a professional manner and tackle any problems/requests the clients may have. During my employment, I worked individually on bigger projects like: Viral Lubricants, Rogers in collaboration with Samsung and HTC, Alpa Lumber Mills, and IDEXX Laboratories.

As part of a Design Division, the main task was coming up with the new web phone interface and design templates. The web-based phone followed a specific set of guidelines, where design principles were applied and passed over to the development team. Moreover, my secondary role was to manipulate a series of videos to post online on a daily basis, at a minimum of 10 per day. These videos were edited and watermarked before uploading to our servers for our online audiences through the Eye Rock Digital division. As a graphic designer in this company, constant deadlines had to be completed, as clients wanted their designs quick and further development was common.
