Role Description: *In charge of both heavyknit and jersey products for Ladies’/Kid’s/Men’s wear for Seppala/Stockmann brands, which are the leading fashion brands in Nordic and Baltic countriesResponsibilities:Liaising with buyers to identify the right supplier to each product items, bargain for the best price/delivery.*Evaluating better opportunities between China suppliers and offshore country suppliers(with GSP benefit) to suggest order placement especially for big volume products.*Working closely with designers and product developers to source nominated fabrics, colors, trimmings and accessories.*Providing additional coaching to buyers for business calendars to suggest order placement deadlines at the beginning of each season.*Setting up meetings between buyers and suppliers twice a year for business cooperation and discuss pending future orders face to face. *Attending all kinds of fashion expos nationwide to follow latest trends in the business.*Reviewing suppliers’ quarterly performance to improve their weakness aspects.*Sourcing new suppliers for better prices and products.*Settling discount or cancellation issues independently with suppliers if any claims occur.*Checking development samples personally from suppliers regarding styling, quality, colors, trimmings, labels to make sure the best look of each sample, in order to get the orders.*Reporting to business manager regarding supplier-chain management, order-placement strategy.*Partnering with garment technician during each fitting sample process to ensure all the sample comments were followed.*Contacting with quality controller to secure the bulk production quality.*Coordinating with logistic colleagues for the right shipping documents from suppliers.*Monitoring assistant’s daily job to track the production process regarding sample/lab dips/trimming approvals.*Educating assistant’s working ability and efficiency and help her/him to grow.
