Prepare the 115th Expeditionary Signal Battalion for foreign and domestic assignments by assisting with the development and implementation of challenging and diverse training to ensure our tactical communications teams are prepared to support up to 40 remote locations with classified and unclassified voice and data services. Develop plans to validate tactical communications teams and their equipment to determine the ability of each team and the status of their equipment.Lead a current operations team as we track the progress and issues of each tactical communications team starting from dispatch to fully operational to tear down and recovery.

Served as the Company Commander as a Captain(O3) for a Joint/Area Signal Company with an authorized strength of 124 Soldiers and over $30 million worth of equipment that was capable of providing classified and unclassified voice and data communications to at least six locations utilizing satellite and line-of-site RF transmission methods. Was responsible for all Soldiers, equipment, training, and logistics required to engineer, install, operate and maintain our capabilities to serve in a State, DSCA (Defense Support of Civil Authorities), or Federal mission in or outside the United States of America.

Deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in Regional Command South (RC-S) as a Captain (O3). Worked as the Telecom Engineer for the Regional Network Control Center for RC South and RC West, which had the largest tactical network in the world. Led a team responsible for designing, building and installing custom communications packages for Combat Operating Posts (COP) and Forward Operations Bases (FOB) throughout the battle space in RC North, South and West in order to provide voice and data services as well as transport live video. Assisted with the design and installation of the Full Motion Video Line-of-Site network in RC(S). Managed over 870,000 IP addresses over three networks, NIPR (unclassified), SIPR (U.S. Secret), Centrix (Coalition Secret).Prepared the 115th ESB to deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom by developing, implementing, and overseeing a plan to validate and train all 30 of the battalion's tactical communications packages including their responsible teams. Re-validated all equipment upon arrival to Kandahar Air Field. Assisted with technical aspects of preparing teams to deploy to each of their sites within the battle space.

As a Second Lieutenant (O1), led a node center platoon consisting of more than 50 personnel with the capability to provide voice and data communications to multiple sites over a wide area of operations. I was responsible for training, operations, and support. As a First Lieutenant (O2), functioned as the company executive officer for a company consisting of more than 130 personnel, while also serving as a platoon leader. This involved managing and coordinating operations and support for all three platoons within the company.

Attended Army basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma followed by Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy where I earned my commission as a Second Lieutenant. Then attended the Basic Officer's Leadership Course II at Fort Benning, GA followed by the Signal Basic Officer's Leadership Course at Fort Gordon, GA.

Technical lead of an embedded software development team on a modern weapons system using C++ on a VxWorks platform. Development entails designing, implementing, and debugging hardware interface drivers, software interfaces between multiple components running in different processes across different physical platforms, and providing data in a common interface to be displayed on a customer facing GUI.

Design Engineer in the Carrier Networks Division (CND). I have alternated between being a hardware engineer and a software engineer. As a hardware engineer I designed several TDM/ATM and Ethernet First Mile (EFM) DSL boards primarily used by Telecom Carriers to provide WAN level data access to distribution points and business class customers. As a software engineer I have written code used to bring up processors, FPGAs, 3rd party DSL ASICs; drivers to interface embedded operating systems to various pieces of hardware; VHDL for FPGAs; and system level multi-architectural code for various features within our systems. The code I have written has been for Ethernet switches, ATM switches, TDM switches, and Ethernet/ATM/TDM DSL transport modules used within ADTRAN's Total Access systems.Agile (Scrum): served as a product owner, scrum master, and team member.

Worked on the Pilot Vehicle Interface for the F-22 fighter jet. Responsible for writing and unit testing the software in ADA for the Attack Display and the Situation Display.
