A veteran television executive, entertainment journalist and author of the critically-acclaimed biography ‘Starring Brian Linehan’ (McClelland & Stewart) Once best known as a Toronto Sun columnist, I have also had the privilege of shepherding some of CBC Television’s most popular programs including The Rick Mercer Report, Made In Canada, This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Royal Canadian Air Farce -- among many others. Born in Quebec, my family’s business was film exhibition, so I grew up in screening rooms and Montreal movie houses, and subsequently developed a passion for both cinema and storytelling at an early age. Following a rewarding stint at The Toronto Telegram until the paper folded in 1971, I was lucky enough to be one of the journalists who founded the Toronto Sun, where I was surprised and delighted to become one of the new paper’s best-read columnists and critics.
