Design, implementation and orchestration of automation solutions of infrastructure services across various tool sets. Automated solutions are designed to meet specific customer requirements in order to assist in the reduction of manual effort involved in performing tasks.Achievements• Creation of a service portal enabling our customers to request services via a web front end. These services are performed using our automation platform having them actioned upon request. This has led to a reduction of highly skilled engineers performing routine tasks, allowing them to add more value in other areas.• I shared our experience using the automation platform Operations Orchestration at the HP Software forum in Melbourne & Sydney (March 2013) • Created a server provisioning process from initial request to completion. This reduced the process from several weeks down to one hour which resulted in increased responsiveness to our customers and server consistency.• Engineered a process which patches servers with latest security updates and performs validation, thus avoiding the purchase of patching specific software which incurred a license cost of several hundred thousand dollars.• Automated software deployment process. This eliminated the requirement for any manual efforts made to deploy software and configure user permissions equating to approx 900 requests per year.• The implementation of HP Operations Orchestration, automating run book tasks within I.T. This led to the reduction of approx 2 head counts and approx 1.5 million dollars of avoided cost per year as well as the integration of HP OO into our Incident and Change Management, monitoring and software deployment tools • Automation efforts across a twelve month period enabled us to meet the the ROI of the automation platform.• Nominated for a corporate excellence award in Innovation - Automation in 2009, 2011 & 2012
