I had to create the Monitoring group from zero, create monitoring system from zero, and maintain and develop it according IT department expectations (add more and more items to alert in order to enable proper incident and event management). It was very challenging and motivating to work (everything from blank sheet of paper), and results were really shining. Major part of monitoring was based on Zabbix monitoring system. The was small, flexible, easy to configure and effective solution. 24/7 monitoring was established from October 2001, 6 direct subordinates.
