Hi all,𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 📚I’m a native Angeleno fueled by a deep love of art, music, and sports. An influential teacher inspired me to go into education so I went to a specialized high school for future teachers, and earned an AA while in high school. Then attended Cal State Dominguez Hills while working as a TA. While cycling through jobs, I became passionate about supporting students outside of the classroom.𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒 & 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐒 ☀️At City Year, I worked toward reducing dropouts by tutoring kids to help improve academics. I also supervised 100s of volunteers at community events and developed curricula to bring all of my students to grade level by the end of the year.I was then inspired to serve in the same neighborhood with young people in an after-school program called arc Experience and I was promoted to Site Coordinator where I hired, managed, and trained a team of 6 to operate an after-school program with over 100 students.During my summers I worked at Galileo, an innovation and stem-based learning camp. I spent 4 years as a program director and with my time at arc I spent time supporting recruiting operations. I directed customer service, full-cycle recruiting, and enabled team members through accountability and better processes. During my extensive efforts in the last year, I handled 5k+ candidate applications, and over time trained 130 staff on DEI, safety, and operations.𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒 & 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦As a Senior Consultant at Scoot, I’ve leveraged my blend of skills to manage educators, recruit talent, and equip staff with resources to grow and help others. I have led onboarding operations for teachers to fulfill the needs of partner schools in California. In 2023, I was tasked to support the team as Lead National Liaison to nonprofit organization projects in addition to the new regional school partnerships I support. I’ve grown our partnership with Child Mind from a budding 3 school partnership to a 4 region partnership.𝐋𝐄𝐓'𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐎𝐍 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐍 🌎Outside of my daily work, I have supported BRAIN44, a natural health/wellness company, performing strategy and operations duties while negotiating partnerships with retail and e-commerce brands.
