An experienced Sales and Accounts Director with over 25 years in the retail and IT industries, delivering high quality customer relationship management, account & new business development and project management, who looks forward to the next challenge and is not afraid of a steep learning curve. In my work at Reaper I pride myself on the close customer contact I maintain; helping to develop website concepts from first thoughts to end product. Those relationships continue after the sites have gone live by helping to keep them up to date and providing advice on everything from SEO to social. Many of the websites I have built use WordPress as the CMS, but am confident using other platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, Joomla and Magento.I also carry out Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Social Media work for clients. On the SEO side of things this has involved doing initial research into websites to gauge the level they are at before working with the client to create new content, as well as revising existing content. The optimisation work often coordinates with Social Media activity and I have been responsible for initial set up of accounts, consulting on best practice and periodic reviews of all social media activity and its effectiveness. I am also experienced at completely running multiple accounts independently for clients.I have given several talks to local networking groups on subjects such as website design, MailChimp e-shots, and social media.Specialties: Sales, Accounts Development, customer relationship management, administration, social media management/consultancy, and web development.

Sales And Account DirectorReaper Enterprises Ltd Mar 2006 - PresentPutney, South West LondonThe primary responsibility is bringing in new business, developing customers' initial project ideas from early thoughts & often rather abstract concepts into actual websites. I also work on a great deal of customer relationship management to maintain that vital regular contact with existing customers, ensuring that they do not feel like they have ever been forgotten about, and talking to them about ongoing site development. As part of the process of developing new customers' site projects I have also created new sites from scratch for customers as well as taking part in regular maintenance of existing sites. This has involved not only updating existing content, adding new features, but also actively looking after their Search Engine Optimisation, directing their Adwords campaigns, and contributing to, as well as running, multiple social media profiles on a daily basis.Other current responsibilities include; bookkeeping, payroll, and day to day office running. As relationships with customers have developed and they have felt more comfortable with us we have also been asked us for advice on recommending/sourcing hardware and office/home installations. I have sourced, purchased, and installed new hardware for customers. Often following on from this I have assisted many customers with computer support at home and in office scenarios (as well as by remote), and assisting with network installations. -

Licensing Awards JudgeUk Licensing Awards 2006 - Jul 2018Whilst working at The Children's Book Centre, Jakki Brown and Ian Hyder (Directors of The Licensing Source Book and of the Licensing Awards) approached me and asked if I would like to be a licensing judge. This involved a yearly day spent reviewing 1000s of items to pick out the top five examples of the best use of licensing from each category. In 2013 we were also asked to become part of the judging team for the Progressive Preschool Awards, run by Rob Willis as well as Ian and Jackie.

General ManagerChildrens Book Centre Jul 1999 - Feb 2006Kensington High Street, West London. The Children’s Book Centre was London’s leading children’s book and toy store stocking up to 20,000 titles and a large range of toys and educational items. At its peak it had a turnover of over £1m. I was responsible for the day to day running of the store alongside my mother who owned the business. I looked after the management of the staff and their rotas, training of new team members, cash handling, training, sales, buying of stock and sourcing new ranges. I was also involved in the visual merchandising side of the business. One of my main accomplishments was to help drive up sales developing increased customer loyalty by ensuring a high standard of customer service from the staff. I maintained a very high level of product knowledge across a wide range of books and toy lines. Through aggressive buying practices and cost controls we increased the average margin on all the products across the store by more than 10%. I introduced a new customer gift certificate scheme, retaining customers’ business rather than losing it to book tokens. Helped establish one of the first PC computer games sections in a store on Kensington High Street with a very popular line of educational titles. I was also responsible for looking after ‘out-of-store’ events at schools, city banks and charity Christmas fairs. We soon became one of the key stallholders for the annual Wellbeing charity event along with several others including Dresdner Bank.
