I provide advanced level support for internal customers and vendors to ensure the success of critical UPS Airline, Worldport, Transport and Sort, and Brokerage systems. I function as a technical resource for management and application teams covering risk assessment, change facilitation, system/database administration, and enterprise incident/event management. I also provide leadership, training, and guidance to operation support technicians on the use and development of support tools, techniques, and procedures to efficiently restore service. Service restoration is key when your primary production environment is the largest fully automated international package handling operation in the world. UPS Worldport is over 90 football fields in size and sorts over 1 million packages daily.

I was part of the Automation Systems Group where I joined 5 other Level III technicians in supporting the entire automated sorting system for UPS' Worldport Facility - an international shipping hub located in Louisville.I was responsible for ensuring that the technology (server, workstation, networking, etc.) used in sorting an average of over 600,000 packages during the day sort, and over 1,000,000 packages during the night sort, worked correctly without any impacting issues.

I provided technical support to the hundreds of workstations and scanning equipment used for the automated sort at the UPS Worldport Facility - an international shipping hub located in Louisville. The size of about 80 football fields, Worldport is the largest fully automated package handling operation in the world. UPS Worldport handles 250 flight arrivals and departures and sorts nearly 1 million packages daily.

I provided technical support to the over 1,400 users at 2 facilities located in the east Louisville area. This included scheduled installation of approved software, troubleshooting installed software, repairing/rebuilding workstations, and providing training on specific computer skills.
