My research qualitatively explores the multilevel social tensions embedded in contested international business phenomena, as well as actors’ responses to these tensions. As an example, my doctoral dissertation theorizes advanced market acquirees’ strategic management of the challenging internal and external environment under emerging market ownership. Born in China and based in Japan, I am also fascinated with telling Asian management stories. As an early-career scholar, my work has received exclusive awards from various academic communities, such as the 2023 Alan M. Rugman Young Scholar Award from AIB and the 2022 Best PhD Award from EAMSA.
