He has a natural intuition for what the situation requires at any given moment, whether that’s autonomy, insight or direction. His approach is always considered, and he is the kind of person who thinks first and talks second. I think people find this reassuring because when Geert says something you know he’s given it requisite thought. He is also deeply pragmatic and knows, by instinct, what matters and what doesn’t. His practicality is a constant reassurance to those around him. Lastly, a perhaps needless to say, Geert is a brilliant mind. He has the benefit of extremely high intelligence coupled with a natural curiosity. He asks questions, digs deeper, and always seeks to understand things better. In my experience, great leaders listen and act in equal measure, and this is something Geert espouses. I hope I have the opportunity to work with Geert again one day, and I know a great many others feel the same way."
