Scinvivo is a startup that aims to improve bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment by developing a catheter for optical biopsy. I have managed and co-produced two batches of prototypes, including the first fully functional prototype and redesigned the most critical and valuable component of the catheter. Selected, contracted, and maintained contact with strategic suppliers. Managed the selection process for a MEMS foundry. As a member of the management team, I have had many interactions with the 10 shareholders (mostly engineers) in the form of presentations, newsletters and regular technical discussions.

Contribution: Physiological and controllable device parameters were investigated, leading to a list of specific advice on improvements of the whole system and treatment. I discovered an early indicator of treatment success and personalized treatment.

Award: Best thesis of the PDEng program DTI and academic year award nominee 2017.Product: the ClearSight system is a non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring system that measures blood pressure and derived hemodynamic parameters continuously. Contribution: Feasibility of a new application was shown through the realization of an experimental prototype set-up, measurements and analysis. Enabling faster treatment and unlocking integrated information and analysis.
