As Asphalt Engineer, I was responsible for all the asphalt testing for Nynas Bitumen Continental.Tests included wheeltracking, watersensitivity, mix design, workability, stiffness, ....I was also involved in the bitumen testing.

My function as laboratory assistant at the asphalt plant of Heijmans in Bilzen included taking and analyzing samples of asphalt, aggregates and bitumen for quality control purposes and initial type testing of new mixtures. I started at the technical department of Heijmans in Bilzen when the company was split up in different divisions. I participated in the administrative part of the partition of the equipment.The biggest part of this function however consisted of ordering various parts and services for the technical department and the follow up of these orders.One of the services was the organization of safety audits of the hoisting equipment on all ongoing wharfs.
