Responsible for overall operations within and performance of Packaging Application Centres in Nijmegen (Benelux, 1 direct report) and Paris (France, 2 direct reports).Achievements:Involved in the setup of a new Packaging Application Centre in Paris as well as hiring and training the new Packaging Engineers for this location.Installed new plotter in Nijmegen that is able to cut polyethylene foam (in addition to corrugated board). This facilitates PE foam packaging solutions for the Benelux region to be made locally, which is simplifying communication, avoiding shipping costs, shortening lead times, etc. In 2017 PE designs made up 30% of all design work being done in Nijmegen.

In addition to the tasks and responsibilities of a Packaging Engineer I am responsible for overall operations within and performance of Packaging Application Centre Nijmegen (1 direct report).Achievements:Introduced Excel file that automatically generates a monthly report from project database entries. The report converts the large amount of information into easy-to-understand charts on the number of projects, success rate, sales revenue, applications and packaging materials. This reporting file is used by all European Packaging Application Centres.Initiated and led the creation of a library with 3D models of packaging systems. These models are used to create packaging area layouts that improve operational efficiency at customers/prospects. The system library is used globally. In 2017 packaging area layout drawings made up about 15% of all project work done in Nijmegen.Installed a plotter to cut corrugated boxes and prototype moulds

In the position of Packaging Engineer, I translate packaging needs of customers/prospects into a cost effective protective packaging solution by using Sealed Air materials and systems (majority being Instapak polyurethane foam designs). Other tasks and responsibilities include demonstrating packaging techniques, systems and solutions to customers/prospects.Achievements:Introduced CAD software (SolidWorks) to Package Application Centre Nijmegen to be able to facilitate (virtual) design, communication and documentation of packaging solutions.
