After ten years as a career officer in the Belgian Army, holding several positions as commanding officer or in staff functions, I switched to the civilian public sector in 2000. Since that date, I work at a senior civil servant level. As secretary of the city of Roeselare and secretary of the "OCMW" (public center for social welfare) of the same city, I'm the highest ranked civil servant reporting directly to the mayor, the members of the municipal executive and the (president of the) Councils (of the city and the OCMW).Between 2002 and 2007 I contributed to the Copernicus-reform of the Belgian federal administration.The similarity of the jobs I occupied during the second half of my career is aiming for continuous improvement of rather large (public) organisations.Specialties: Public Management, Human Resources Management, Change Management
