Geert is a soil remediation expert and an a very experienced swimmer. He works for Arcadis and has his own company for coaching and training swimmers.He has worked as a project engineer, project manager and team manager. He is specialized in environmental construction services (soil remediation, (ground)water treatment) and specialized in site evaluation and soil consultancy. His working area covers the full spectrum from site investigation to site remediation and closure.This includes soil and groundwater research, design, construct, operate, and maintenance of treatment systems for soil remediation and (ground) water treatment. He has worked on projects with redevelopment of polluted sites and liability management. Geert can be your consultant and or project manager.He is always looking for improvement, is fueled by innovative challenges, prefers to work with teams and uses a project-oriented work for all types of developments.He has been team manager for soil consultancy and remediation teams. He is thrived to use digital tools to improve (soil) consultant services of Arcadis. He is working on programs for internal process development, advisory group development and strategy.In the past he has developed with the University of Amsterdam a very effective and quick treatment method using hydrogen peroxide to fight Cyanobacteria (Blue Algae) in surface (swimming) waters. Today he is focusing on an innovative sustainability remediation technology developed by Arcadis (TISR) where sustainable energy is used to heat up the soil to improve remediation efficiency.Besides working for Arcadis his is a open water long distance swimmer and has completed a few ultra long distance swims. He is trainer/coach for several swimmers and Triathlon athletes and is an expert in swimming technique.
