Develop, implement and manage CREA’s programmes in the fields of human rights, sexuality, violence against women, and reproductive health and rights. Responsibilities include: vision building, strategic and financial planning, programme and organisational development, monitoring and evaluation, fund raising, liaising with the Board of Directors, team management, working collaboratively on joint projects with other organisations, and, representing CREA at international conferences and in the media.

Developed programme initiatives focusing on advocacy in the areas of sexuality, reproductive health and rights, violence against women and HIV/AIDS prevention. Responsibilities included determining funding priorities, grant making, providing technical support to grantees, programme monitoring and evaluation and developing strong relationships with other donors. Coordinator for Asia regional programming.

Analysed the nexus between population, environment and development and integrated rights and gender issues into EDF’s 21 programme areas. Initiated and conducted project activities focusing on environmental justice for the International Conference for Population and Development (ICPD), Cairo, 1994. Member of the task force for population on the US President's Council for Sustainable Development.

Managed the annual strategic planning process, including the work plan and budget for 14 field offices. Provided management support and technical assistance to field offices in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of family planning programmes in Asia. Directed and implemented field research to collect data on health policies and programmes in India and Indonesia. Worked with Turkey’s Ministry of Health to integrate counselling in family planning programmes.

Planned and coordinated the 1990 Safe Motherhood Conference in South Asia. Conducted research on the root causes of maternal mortality and morbidity, women's health and resource mobilisation. Produced a video “Safe Motherhood in South Asia: We Can Get There From Here” that won the Best Film Award in the Public Information Category, 1990, International Film and Television Festival of New York.

Prepared sections of the Annual Report on Urban Operations. Reviewed project reports for Latin America, Asia and Africa (1983-1989). Conducted cost analyses and analysed bank lending trends in the urban sector.

Participated in an urban infrastructure research mission to Bangladesh and conducted a field study of the housing, slums, and squatter problems in Dhaka city.

Analysed Pakistan's rural household consumption data for a food security management project.
