TLDR: I am a senior executive who drives digital transformation and growth with expertise in change management. As a former lawyer, strategy grounds everything I do, and as an entrepreneur, I lead with vision and passion. This combination has driven my success at global media companies such as Sony, Netflix, Univison, AMC Networks, NBC, and disruptive businesses like Jaman, (pre-Netflix silicon valley global OTT service). For the last three years, I have been advising C-suite executives at global entertainment companies as they navigate the era of media disruption.Prior to that, I was CMO of Funimation (a Sony-owned subsidiary). I was charged to grow our DTC streaming business, FunimationNow, while continuing to drive revenue in our theatrical and home entertainment businesses. Our fan-obsessed streaming business grew 100% in the two years I was privileged to spend at Funimation. In addition, we delivered one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time to date (DragonBall Super: Broly), with 200% increase in expected BO revenue. Pre-Funimation, I led consumer marketing, communications, branding, social media, affiliate partnerships, and digital strategy for Sony’s U.S. television networks. Charged with bringing digital innovation to a traditional cable business, I successfully marketed and launched two networks: Cine Sony Television for the US Hispanic market and getTV, Sony's first DTC network. I have worked with digital streaming companies (Netflix and Jaman) to guide their entry into new markets. As Head of the South Asia business at Jaman, I led global growth through strategic content deals, exclusive partnerships, and influencer marketing. As a personal and professional point of pride, I negotiated a deal to bring 30 of India’s finest films online for the first time ever, giving depth to the library and establishing Jaman as the online home of Indian content. I have worn many hats in my career - civil rights litigator, diversity non-profit ED, start-up founder, and for the last 15 years, digital/media executive.
