My name is Konstantinos M. Gektidis and I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1998. I received the M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece, in 2021 and I am currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the High Voltage Laboratory, AUTh. My research is focused on surge protection of sensitive electronic equipment to achieve more safe, reliable, and economical electrical installations. Emphasis is given to the development of novel surge protection schemes for targeted surge protection. I am a highly motivated youth 'hungry' for new opportunities for both engineering and research. Besides that, I show a particular interest in social activities, voluntarism, and art projects.
