Leading the team developing Flight Software for Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne rockets!

Developed Global Engineering Footprint Strategy incorporating engineering teams from India, Poland, Brazil, and France saving the organization $7M in 2020. Streamlined management of engineering contingent/contractor workforce and suppliers.

Directed activities on continuous process improvement, budgeting and resource planning, engineering tools/DevOps, and global engineering footprint/outsourcing.

Led a software engineering organization of over 170 exceptionally skilled software engineers, test engineers, and managers who develop world class In-flight Entertainment systems with a focus on agile transformation, continuous improvement, and change management.

Managed teams of software and test engineers developing In-flight Entertainment products with a focus on interfaces with the aircraft and crew operations of Panasonic In-Flight Entertainment Systems.

Led a cross-functional organization (engineering, PjM, PdM, Ops) on the successful delivery of a platform that remotely delivers software & media updates onboard aircraft. Initiated the agile transformation of an 50+ person organization, introducing Scrum & Kanban, with focus on visibility, predictability, commitment & delivery. This included teams responsible for 15+ connectivity products and services including a platform that enabled Wi-Fi at 33,000 feet. Assembled a DevOps, TechPubs, and Test Automation team.

Led the architecture and development of 2 of Smith Micro Software's major product offerings in the wireless connectivity and analytics space. First was a connection management (Wi-Fi, Cellular, Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc.) product deployed on hundred of thousands of Dell and HP laptops. Built using C++/C#/.NET through an onshore and offshore team of software engineers & architects. Second was a mobile application embedded on Android handsets (and later for iOS) for wireless carriers that managed Wi-Fi connections, cellular activations, and connection analytics. I was also the overall Project Manager, led the teams agile transformation, engaged with customers daily, and authored many of the product requirements/design specifications. We used Java, C# and Objective-C to build this product.

Led a global team of engineers in the architecture, development and successful deployment of desktop & embedded software applications for test and measurement equipment. Designed for cellular operators of CDMA and GSM-based networks in the wireless telecommunications industry. Utilizing C#, C++/CLI, Windows Forms, .NET, C++, MFC, Visual Studio & TFS.

Developed communication software (C++, MFC, Java) for one of the first Internet online gaming services under Engage Games Online, a division of Interplay Entertainment.

Led a startup that deployed a barker channel (similar to TV Guide channel) for all 4 nationwide major cable operators in the Philippines.
