My politics are extremely far left, by today's standards. I support human rights. Today that means supporting BIPOC and queer (especially trans) folk. It means supporting women. It means reducing harm via capitalism. It means ending retributive justice systems and reducing income inequality. Most of all, it means progress.I have been working for FAANG for around 10 years, and in enterprise software for pushing 20. My current employment centers around the MetaAppleAmazonAlphabetNetflix complex (i.e. the MAAAN). Both FAANG and the MAAAN sound evil. In my opinion, the MAAAN is more appropriate (modern state powers, patriarchy, the old guard).I am very happy in my current role, but if anyone can beat my comp and give me a mission to build engineering permaculture with support from your C-suite equivalent, I'm happy to talk about it.
