At Syndio I primarily helped build and refine features around resource and user management. These projects were nearly all in Go and involved creating and modifying APIs within our microservice environment.* I helped architect and build both internal and customer facing APIs that were responsible for managing user CRUD, permissions access, and management of other resources. When building these systems, I worked with Product to develop a new set of composite roles that were more easily changeable based on business needs and provided new behavior that they needed. These composites were also built to reuse Syndio's existing account and permissions services, minimizing the amount of changes needed.* Additional features were also developed in the aforementioned customer facing administration site to manage user/resource CRUD, fine-tuning display info of race-based nomenclature, and the resulting system changes to work with these systems.Above and beyond the above and other projects I was a part of during my time with Syndio, I had unending drive and energy toward mentoring others in the company in whatever topics may have been needed. I was the go-to resource for assistance/reviewing of Go idioms, knowledge around the resource and permission service's behavior, and postgres query authoring. I strove to lift all others on the team up so that we may all progress together.Lastly, my dedication to software craftspersonship, communicative and effective testing, and performant code was also widely known amongst the team.

Everything needs infrastructure. Developers need tools. In this role, I've worked on both.My projects have ranged from:* Developing and shipping a business critical disaster recovery monitoring service that automatically adjusts top level routing to our site based on the availability of a third party provider. This service ensures that existing users continue to have access to their accounts and new users are able to sign up as normal, assisting with user acquisition, retention, happiness, and preventing financial losses.* Contributing to a CLI tool that not only assists in managing deployments but is also our key key method for our engineering team to interact with those deployed assets.* Leading and owning the orchestration, optimization, and execution of the migration of our primary production database including all its data, from one cloud provider to another without any issue.

Freelance position assisting in testing, checking, game/simulator direction, and overall feedback. As I'm both a SET and a racing/acrobatic drone pilot, I'm able to provide a unique perspective to the DRL team in regard to not only bugs found but also things like flight feel of the drone in the game that would otherwise be difficult to fine-tune. I'm also working to bring my automation experience to the team to assist in removing the time sink of repetitive manual checking tasks to free up more time for exploratory testing, and will hopefully be able to enable the team to have faster, modular feedback on changes they make, allowing them to develop and push changes more frequently and with confidence.
