Was awarded this fellowship grant from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust to spend 10 weeks conducting research into "The Role of Love in Palliative Care" visiting hospices, hospitals, palliative care units and leaders in the field across 7 cities in North and South America to further explore this subject and to write a research paper. Much of this study was included in the book Your Legacy of Love: Realize the Gift in Goodbye.

Working with the US team to bring the American Computer Experience summer camp, founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to the United Kingdom. Helped set-up 10 educational summer camps at leading UK universities. Developed and implemented marketing and communications plans for two consecutive seasons including national advertising, competitions, local advertising and promotions, gaining a 300% increase in sales. Managed sponsor relations with Electronic Arts, British Telecom, The Times, BBC Online, Xerox, Microsoft, PC World, Compaq, Agfa, Sharp and Tesco’s. As camp director, I was responsible for maintaining the welfare and educational development of between 40 children around the clock for 10 weeks each summer, working with and managing 15 staff members. Developed a series of special programmes to improve the camp experiences, which included: “Icebreaker” activities, which helped eradicate 30% of homesickness; “Energisers” breaks which produced a 20% improvement in overall learning and information retention. Was subsequently asked by the DfES (Government Department for Education and Skills in the UK) to develop CC4G.net an after-school online computer club designed to encourage more girls to stay engaged in technology. Was invited to speak at “The Digital Divide” conference, to run the “Teentechfest” Competition and Industry for Girl Guides Computercamp.

Initially as restaurant manager in VIP catering at Silverstone Grand Prix, Royal Albert Hall concerts, Royal Botanical Gardens, then was hired to work as Grand Prix event manager working from their Austrian office in Vienna, where I was responsible for recruiting all part-time catering staff for European Grand Prix and managing VIP catering on-site at Hockenheim (Germany), Zeltweg (Austria), Barcelona (Spain), Silverstone (England).
