A senior innovation practitioner enabling organisations across philanthropy, civil society and academia to do new things in new ways - developing who we are and how we are through the journey. I enable groups who are on the brink of big challenges to respond in ways that realise the wider, creative possibilities available to them. I offer my extensive experience of designing strategy, learning and participatory processes and partnership working, collaborating with people at the intersection point of who they/ we are, their intentions, their relationships and their practice. Working together, we break through uncertainty and doubt to find clarity and confidence in what we are doing, how we are doing it - and why.

Strategic oversight and coaching, supporting ThoughtBox to regenerate education.

Creative Lead, working with the Sustainability Group to develop a systemic learning experience and leadership journey for business executives for the classroom and inside business. Transforming the 'Exploring Sustainable Futures Game' (developed via the EU-InnovatE research project 2013-2016) into an immersive, serious play experience that challenges mindsets and assumptions - and enables leaders to practice how to navigate complexity.

I represent and collaborate with Forum for the Future as a trusted, former member of staff from from time to time. This started with setting-up the Living Grid in 2017: a collaborative, business-led project to make the UK's fossil-fuel oriented energy network more compatible with renewable energy. I co-produced and directed the foundational phase of the Living Grid, successfully leading a small team to develop the concept and strategy for the project, convening and confirming partnerships with six large businesses and securing funding for a longer-term programme to engage other large energy across the UK. After establishing the project, I handed its leadership to colleagues at Forum fo the Future.The first phase of work included collaborating with the Futures Centre to curate a digital conversation asking, ''What can our human energy system learn from the rest of life on Earth?' and 'Nature is the original pioneer of a decentralised, decarbonised, democratic energy system, how can we take its lead?'

Responsibility for shaping and managing Forum for the Future's strategy and experiments that reach for disruptive, paradigm-shifting change - and for developing these components of the syllabus for the 'School of System Change'. Cross-cutting role managing contributions from staff, and a portfolio of work, that spanned across teams: spotting, convening, designing and initiating opportunities to influence systems by innovating new 'narratives' to guide them and by innovating in 'niches' that could one day become the mainstream. Notable achievements include: as contributor to the 'System Innovation Lab' prototyping emergent forms of learning and experimentation, I influenced the set-up of new 'R&D' capabilities for blue skies innovation; co-produced thought leadership about using 'systemic design' in the set-up and delivery of system change projects and on the definition and use of 'disruption' as a strategy for system change. This reframed 'disruptive innovation' as a process of social innovation rather than as a purely business, technology-led exercise - and began to create a language and tools for pursuing it on this basis.As content expert on 'future lifestyles' project EU-Innovate, I lead the production of academic papers and 2050 scenarios for Europe. I was instrumental in establishing a radical new work stream for Forum for the Future, geared to transform society by enabling citizen innovation and new identities, forms of exchange and governance to emerge through civil society.

Responsibility for leading and developing partnerships and projects with global businesses and brands. Initiated and managed the delivery of strategic consulting services. Developed key thought leadership to contribute to Forum for the future's emerging practice in 'system innovation': notably a framework called the 'Ways of a System Thinker' and its proposition and work portfolio for working with commercial brands to generate increased social and environmental impact.

I managed long-term partnerships and delivered work programmes with a range of public sector organisations in central, regional and local government. The aim of each partnership was to improve and enable sustainable development. The scope of collaborative working was wide: from developing and delivering board-level and staff leadership programmes, to critically evaluating policies, strategies and plans, to facilitating innovation processes to redesign public services. I played different roles including: project manager, researcher, report writer, workshop designer and facilitator. I also co-wrote proposals and co-pitched for work with new organisations.

Interactive learning facilitator on Warwick University's Executive MBA course, exploring the intersection of business, resilience, sustainability and regenerative economics.

Co-developed the funding strategy and design of Ashden's first grant-funding programme, managing the whole funding cycle. Called the Fair Cooling Fund, it sought to support holistic responses to heat stress in communities who are increasingly living in extreme temperatures - fostering flexibility, resilience and flourishing.

I lead an action-learning project to investigate how communities in Birmingham might come into relationship differently to open-up new possibilities for wellness, growth and action, asking, ‘How can we (re)generate the social foundations for wellbeing?' It reviewed publicly-available research to identify the qualities of connection that we seek - and need - in order to thrive, as individuals and communities. What is present in our lives, what is missing and the implications for our collective wellbeing. The insights are being integrated across The Active Wellbeing Society's programmes in Birmingham.
