I oversee, support and develop the Local Leaders in Maths Education and quality assure our programme offer for all our teachers of mathematics pedagogical needs. I also oversee, support and develop NCETM Mastery Specialists in their first two years of training and continuing this as they progress to become Work Group Leads of the Maths Hub’s flagship Teaching for Mastery Work Groups.

I work with several schools within a partnership of over 500 schools at Mathematics Mastery (part of Ark Curriculum Plus) who aim to transform mathematics teaching in the UK. I develop, deliver and evaluate a complete teacher training offer, visit schools to support, coach and generate ideas for development and collaborate in developing curriculum content.Previously in this organisation, alongside being a Secondary Development Lead, I was also the Ark Teacher Training Mathematics Subject Lead, working with trainee teachers to develop subject specific knowledge and pedagogy.

The Maths Hubs Programme, coordinated by the NCETM, brings together mathematics education professionals in a collaborative national network of 40 hubs, each locally led by an outstanding school or college (LSE+ is led by Redriff Primary School), to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.
