Gemma Calvert Email and Phone Number
I am a dedicated military spouse with a passion for making a positive impact in the charity sector, particularly within the Armed Forces community. I began my journey by volunteering with the Army Welfare Service at various postings, where I played a vital role in organising support groups and a range of entertainment and events for the forces families. In 2018, I took on a significant role as an Armed Forces Project Coordinator with the charity Home Start. In this capacity, I collaborated closely with the Army Welfare Service to deliver various programmes for Forces spouses and their children across two barracks. I firmly believe in tailoring support to individual needs, often thinking creatively to implement comfort and integration within the military community. I completed the Armed Forces Champion training with the covenant in 2018 and became the Armed Forces Advocate for Home-Start Medway. In 2022, I embarked on a new journey by joining the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust as a Project Coordinator for the ‘Supporting Armed Forces in Acute Hospital Settings’ Programme overseeing 17 NHS acute hospital trusts, U.K wide. Six months into my career with the Trust, I promoted to Project Officer overseeing the HeadFIT programme in partnership with MOD. As the acute hospitals project comes to a close end 2024, I'm excited to have joined the communications team at the trust. Communication has always been my passion, and I am fortunate to continue growing in this role, learning, and thriving alongside such a talented group of professionals. I am proud to continue to demonstrate unwavering dedication to improving their lives of those in the Armed Forces community, leaving a lasting, positive impact through charitable efforts. To date, my proudest moment of my career was my recognition for my contributions with a nomination for ‘Pride in Medway’ awards in 2022. Forever grateful for the opportunities that come my way.
