Full-time speech language pathologist providing individualized half hour services for a variety of pediatric clients. Diagnostics: Conducted evaluations for children in the areas of fluency, Autism, articulation, and language.Preschool: Provided individualized articulation therapy for a student with bilateral cleft lip and palate and encouraged social-language, requesting, and play skills for a student with Autism.Early Childhood: Treated a 5-year-old bilingual Mandarin-English client for articulation, phonology, and language.Neurogenic Communication Disorders: Promoted total communication and expressive language with a client with Broca’s aphasia and apraxia of speech who utilized a Dynavox device. Planned weekly Modalities Aphasia Group – Improving Communication sessions with two graduate students to teach alternative communication strategies to individuals with aphasia and their families and support the use of total communication.Fluency: Developed individualized, weekly sessions for several teenagers who stutter via teletherapy and instructed narrative therapy sessions to encourage positive self-image for two teenagers who stutter during an intensive summer camp.Aural Rehabilitation: Used Signed Exact English to provide early language intervention. Conducted group and individual sessions for preschoolers with hearing loss in the Listen and Speak Up summer camp program. Promoted language expansion and correct articulation in sessions for a 4-year-old bilateral cochlear implant user and encouraged multi-modal expressive language while leading group sessions. Voice: Provided Lee Silverman Voice Treatment to a client with Parkinson’s Disease and promoted the use of feminine voice for a transgender client.Autism: Collaborated with graduate students to coach social skills during group sessions for elementary school students with Autism. Facilitated the use of Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking strategies with a young adult with Autism during weekly individual sessions. Designed activities to promote the use of a low-tech AAC device with a young adult with Autism.

Conducted individual and team evaluations for children 0-12 years old. Conducted therapy sessions for children 2-10 years old. Focus on individuals utilizing or in need of Augmentative and Alternative Communication.

Developed lesson plans and led individual and group therapy sessions to promote expressive and receptive language growth, appropriate pragmatic language use, and increased reading comprehension. Encouraged appropriate device use and total communication with students using a variety of AAC devices including LAMP Words for Life, TouchChat, WordPower on NovaChat, and GoTalk 20+. Collaborated with occupational therapists to plan and conduct joint therapy sessions.

Led 5-10 minute “Speedy Speech” articulation sessions for students in grades pre-K through 4th. Collaborated with supervising SLP to provide 20-30 minute language sessions for groups of 1st through 4th graders.

Summer Therapeutic Recreation Program Assistant at the Teen Time/Teen Links summer camp.Created, organized, adapted, and led games for 50 teens with physical and developmental disabilities at the Teen Links/Teen Time weekly summer camp program. Supervised up to three teens weekly, depending on the participants’ levels of need and number of participants. Collaborated with other staff members to create a flexible schedule of safe, fun, and adaptable activities.
