Promoting the iSpot social networking website to the public across the East Midlands, and supporting iSpot users online. The iSpot website is an easily accessible resource to inform and engage anyone interested in wildlife, from the casual viewer of wildlife programmes on TV to the more knowledgeable naturalist.A key part of the role was the building and strengthening of links with 'hard-to-reach' groups to facilitate new, deeper and lasting real life relationships and experiences with nature.http://www.ispot.org.uk

Contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of the Borough’s Greenspace Strategy and facilitating the development of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan with the Biodiversity Action Partnership. The 'Countryside Quality Counts' research project developed national indicators of change in countryside character and quality for England, led by the Countryside Agency with a range of partners (DEFRA, English Nature, English Heritage and ODPM).
