Responsibilities:• Manages all obligations in relation to environmental compliance, legislation and licences• Provides specialist environmental and heritage management expertise, advice and training to support operations, and development and expansion of assets in line with relevant legislation• Responsible for maintaining and improving the Environmental Management System• Environmental risk assessments to support major projects and maintenance operations• Field based environmental inspections• NGER reporting• Investigates environmental hazards and incidents• Implementation and monitoring of waste management (recycling) program• Coordinating and undertaking weed removal programs for noxious weeds• Member of the Roadside Conservation Committee• Develop relationship with stakeholders to ensure optimal environmental outcomes

Responsibilities:• Managing the Threatened Ecological Communities database• Inputting data to update information on extent, condition, species composition and required management actions for individual occurrences of Threatened and Priority ecological communities (TECs and PECs)• Advanced knowledge of the ArcGIS program.• GIS skills – creating and editing shapefiles, creating maps. • Responsible for maintaining all boundary and buffer data on TECs and PECs, updating and editing these shapefiles as necessary. • Organising and conducting field trips to install new flora/vegetation monitoring quadrats, rescoring quadrats and transects.• Responding to TEC/PEC queries from consultants and proponents in order to aid the approvals process.• Completing TEC/PEC search requests for consultants and proponents in order to aid the approvals process.• Field identification and collection/sampling methods of flora species of the Swan Coastal Plain. • Sampling of microbial communities and water sampling of the Swan Coastal Plain.• Executive Officer of the biannual ‘Western Australian Threatened Ecological Communities Scientific Committee’ (WATECSC) meetings.• Co-editor of the biannual Newsletter for threatened species and ecological communities conservation (WATSNU).

Responsibilities:• Co-author of the ‘Sedgeland in Holocene dune swales’ Interim Recover Plan (Critically Endangered community)• Co-author of draft ‘Southern wet shrublands', Swan Coastal Plain’ Interim Recovery Plan (Endangered community)• Basic GIS skills acquired• Preparing maps and GPS locations for field trips
