I organise and ensure that sufficient domiciliary home visits are carried out in accordance to the CCG requirements. This service cover from east Birmingham, Leicestershire, Coventry and Warwickshire. On a daily basis I manage staff sickness, Personal development reviews and ensure Mandatory Training is carried out and meeting the Trusts KPI’s. I regularly attend quality meeting on behalf of the George Eliot Phlebotomy Department. I am always aiming to meet the extensive targets that are set and expected from the Trust and have successfully improved these targets for meeting patients’ blood test needs both in the hospital and external clinics. I have created and implemented a 7 day rota, initiated new electronic booking systems to mention a couple of new improvements within my department. Responsible for the receiving, processing and preparation of blood samples ready for analysing within a busy hospital setting. My team leader role saw me organising the specimen reception area providing support for the pathology lab. All UKAS standards were met at all times. I gained my NVQ Level 3 in pathology support during this role.
