I joined the company in 2006 as an Assistant Account Manager and progressed quickly to become a Senior Account Manager within two years. Responsibilities included overseeing sales, product development and orders for multiple supermarkets and high street retailers

A fast paced and diverse role where time management and organisational skills were imperative. My role as a consultant involved attracting business from client companies by using sales, business development and marketing techniques. Communicating and building relationships were key aspects of my role as well as confidently promoting the benefits of working with Randstad.

Initially a 1-year post as part of my placement at De Montfort University, I went on to continue this position on a part time basis whilst still in full–time education. The position encompassed a wide variety of tasks including assisting the Technical Financial Services Manager in administering the Council’s treasury management function, including cashflow projections, investments of surplus funds on the London Money Market and bank reconciliation work. Other duties included administering claims against the Council’s insurance policies, providing support to the Social Services Department in terms of the preparation of invoices and monthly reconciliation. This employment was on a permanent weekend and part time basis during my years at University. Duties included taking orders from customers and also dealing with any problems or queries in an effective and sensitive manner.
