Division : TechnologyHead of Technology COO Function (300+ staff ~£20m budget) - accountable for delivering key operational services (People & Capability mgmt., 3rd Party Vendor & Contract mgmt., Financial & Performance mgmt. and Compliance & Policy mgmt.) to the bank’s Technology functions (13,000+ staff ~£1.2bn budget) within Personal, Commercial, Private banking. The core purposes being improving employee engagement, embedding an intelligent commercial cost culture and driving bottom line performance (cost efficiency and productivity). Key outcomes:- Reduced Technology's cost base by £300m over 2 years through the improvement of operational processes, 3rd party contract re-negotiation, application decommissioning, delivery of the optimal workforce location strategy and remediation of legacy infrastructure, amongst other initiatives. - Led the P&BM innovation and simplification programme (Agile Ways of Working) delivering a complete overhaul of the functions’ operating model; organising the people around the work, automating processes and developing self-service digitised tooling. This has led to an increase in the flow of work and a reduction of headcount (£2m in-year 2019 saving, £5m YOY). Bond Trading SaaS Start-upSitting on the Board with Deutsche Börse Group Investor Directors and co-founders (CEO & CTO), this roles' primary focus was to build the business; successfully hiring 29 staff across 2 continents, on-boarding 37 Fixed Income Buy-side & Sell-side clients (108 users) across 4 continents and managing thru-put of over $43bn orders at the platforms peak. Accountable for the day to day operational management and decisions of the FinTech start-up, including people management, logistics, talent acquisition, financial and supplier management and the execution of the 12 month programme plan that took the platform from inception through to delivery using agile methods.Company acquired by Deutsche Börse Group - a marketplace organiser for the trading of shares and other securities with a revenue of e3.2bn.
