A little about me….After 8 years in international marketing for blue-chip, engineering companies, I wanted to do something a little different. Something more altruistic but something that recognised and valued the importance of engineering. I joined educational charity, The Smallpeice Trust (sic). A charity which encourages children to take up careers in engineering. A charity which at the time in 2006, reached out to 768 children. Fast forward 12 years on. I am still at The Smallpeice Trust and we now reach out to 50,000 school children a year. It’s been a wonderful ride and I am incredibly thankful for where I am today.I get to talk to all different types of organisations and understand some of the major challenges that they face and figure out how we can help tackle those challenges through educational programmes to children, schools and families. I help companies with their social value, HR, PR, marketing, corporate social responsibility agendas and develop meaningful links and create mission-driven partnerships. Partnerships are so much more than sponsorship opportunities and are never one way. Knowing that I can make a difference and transform the lives of young people gives me a huge sense of satisfaction.I am empathetic, diligent and approachable with a keen interest in science, technology, engineering, maths and diversity whilst understanding cultural sensitivities. I am fluent in French and have a basic knowledge of Italian. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, eating good food and growing vegetables. I’ve been practising yoga for 16 years and have completed a 300-hour yoga teaching qualification and a 50-hour yin yoga training with the British Wheel of Yoga.
