I am a self-confessed data geek who enjoys developing creative solutions that help members of my team deliver on their objectives. My career to date has been in the charity sector- I am passionate about working for organisations whose missions I believe in. I value efficiency and accuracy and approach problems in a logical but pragmatic way. I have a keen eye for detail, but also keep in mind the bigger picture, such as how changes to a database may impact other users or affect other processes.Having mostly learnt through experience and online resources, I am now highly proficient in administering Blackbaud's Raisers Edge 7 and now also Raiser's Edge NXT. I have trained over 20 members of staff to use the database for their areas of work and have developed a number of procedure guides, user manuals and training resources. I am also skilled in using Excel for analysis, reporting and data manipulation. For example, I have created a single spreadsheet that can segment a large dataset and prepare it for a mailing house (a task that used to take up to two days and be very error prone).I'm keen to continue learning and discover what my skills can acheive.
