I am a financial ombudsman and accredited mediator. Previously, I was head of Consumer Focus Investigations based in the Cardiff office of Consumer Focus. I was responsible for managing investigations into a wide variety of consumer issues, most recently playing a key role in the reform of mobile homes legislation. I also provided legal support to other teams within Consumer Focus including working as part of the team which helped secure customer refunds from npower of £70 million. In 2011, I was featured as one of the Lawyer magazine's In-House Thought Leaders for my work involving npower.I have appeared on various TV and radio programmes such as BBC News 24, Radio 4 - You and Yours, BBC Wales X-Ray and Good Morning Wales. I also give legal opinions on consumer matters to Computer Active.I have a broad range of experience in dispute avoidance and resolution matters.While working at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, I was part of a two man team handling the complex tiger token litigation on behalf of Esso Petroleum. I then continued to handle difficult pieces of litigation on behalf of large PLC clients during my role at NewLaw before moving to another practice to help develop their commercial litigation practice.
