My role was to support the staff to improve and raise the standard of the childcare provision through activities, one-to-one interaction and resources. I spent a lot of time evaluating and coaching staff in their written observations of the children, and ensuring all Records of Development were up to date and correct.Attention to detail was crucial to this role, and was a skill that was instantly transferrable to my new role working with businesses requiring bespoke marketing and software solutions.

My role involved undertaking financial interviews with customers, in order to highlight any areas where they may need extra support. This led to lead generation and securing new business for the bank.Communicating effectively with both business and personal clients was crucial to this role, and gave me skills that were transferable to my role working with businesses wanting to push their businesses forward by improving their own website, and any other web presence they may have.

All general managment duties. Interviewed and trained new staff, dealt with customer queries and complaints, prevented several shoplifting attempts, oversaw shop cleanliness and product display, ear piercing specialist, stock take, cashing up.Merchandising, stock display, and the psychology of retail were skills vital to this role. These skills were later to become invaluable in my role as marketing manager for Hydra Creative, helping businesses to improve their online presence by redesigning their websites.

I supported the Manager with the day to day running of the shop. Stocktaking, helping customers with their enquiries, presentation, window dressing, etc. Culpeper went into administration March 2005.Listening to customers unique problems, and using my expert knowledge to help solve them, was crucial to this role. These skills were later to be so important when helping clients to highlight problems with their websites, and then working with them to improve and enhance their brand.

Started as Party Planner July 2001. Promoted to Unit Organiser October 2001. Key achievements included: Top Sales in Area, Top Ten sales in area 4 times.Involved direct selling to women in their own homes, making suggestions and upselling in a relaxed and fun environment to maximise sales.Supporting and training the girls in my team, and encouraging sales. Leading my own monthly team meeting to celebrate successes and inform my team of new products and incentives.Understanding the psychological process people go through when deciding to buy was key to my success in this role. This knowledge has meant that I can offer added value to clients when working with them to improve their websites, in my marketing role at Hydra Creative.
