I am an experienced insurance litigator, beginning my legal career in London then later re-qualifying to practice in Australia. I advise domestic and international insurers on a range of insurance coverage issues, defend complex litigation and proactively manage a range of recovery actions, with respect to the following types of insurance:+Building and Construction - with particular expertise in professional indemnity and general liability policies.+Financial lines (including professional indemnity and Directors & Officers insurance)+Environmental risks+Property damage liability claims (defence and recovery)+Directors & Officers/Management liability I have benefited from undertaking two insurer secondments within the financial lines team of a major international insurer. During both secondments, I was responsible for a large senior claims portfolio and acted as mentor and adviser to team members. I managed a variety of claims including multi-million dollar financial institution class actions, significant fidelity losses, and a variety of professional indemnity claims.My strengths are my variety and depth of experience, my ability to provide timely, technical and succinct advice, my understanding of the insurance industry and particularly the needs of claims advisors, and my natural affinity with people.I have a wonderful husband, Greg and we are lucky enough to have two children, Harrison & Georgia (who I like to describe as 'spirited'). When I am not working or being a parent, I love to go running, swimming or cycling. Once upon a time I completed several Ironman races in New York, Germany and Melbourne.
