Managing the Department offering Certification, Inspection, Testing and Quality Assurance to a wide range of ITC products, services and systems to prove their functionality, interoperability and Security.Under her heading Applus became one of the two first VISA recognised laboratories for Smart Cards Functionality (according to EMV) and a bit later for Security Evaluation.Member of the Spanish Scheme for Security Evaluation.Expert in several AENOR technical commitees (cards, security, Information Technology, Risk analysis and evaluation amongst others).Recognised expert in the field of Information Technology in several forums

During this period mission was twofold.- Internally: In charge of planning and installation of Information Technology Infrastructure for the company (company changed premises in 1987).- Externally: Acting as Project Manager on behalf of the company in 4 European Projects and Coordinating the effort of all partners in two of them.As a result of these projects, the company set its testing facilities for magnetic stripe and smart chip cards becoming a world referent. The other two projects developed were in the field of ITC products security evaluation where the likehood of existing techniques were assessed.During that period I chaired the Spanish standardisation commitee for identification cards and related devices and represented Spain in ISO and CEN related commitees.External services offered to assess and confirm functionallity and interoperability of Telecommunication products and protocols as well as Information Technology products.
