I recently completed my degree in Media and Environmental Communications at the University of Brighton. While in my final year I took up a part time Marketing and Communications internship with childrens creative writing charity Little Green Pig. During this time I was able to develop my photography and video editing skills, as well as gain insight into a marketing role by running the organisation's social media accounts, and assisting with publishing their monthly newsletter. A few months after my internship ended I was offered the role of Administrator and Volunteer Manager for a six month interim. I accepted this position, and it has allowed me to build upon my prior managerial experience in retail, while developing an understanding of finance and administration.Little Green Pig is a childrens arts charity based in Brighton. We enable children and young people aged 4-18 in Sussex to experiment with writing in all its forms and to share their work with a wide audience. Our priority is to work with young people who live or go to school in areas of highest deprivation, or who face challenging circumstances.
