As a journalist, I specialized in education and healthcare, including a stint as news editor, at a regional UK newspaper. I delivered public awareness campaigns for local government and worked in PR for the offshore financial, legal and insurance sectors, in Guernsey, Jersey, Switzerland, London, Malta, Dubai and Isle of Man. I have regional, national and international experience of consumer and trade media relations in Europe and the US. I have written CSR strategies for international organizations. In 2013 I launched Gem PR & Media in Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK to help clients strategically align PR with their business objectives. A year later Gem PR & Media expanded into the US and offers a 24-hour press service.In the US I have worked on congressional, local government, and city campaigns and work with clients in the healthcare, banking, retail, hospitality, and technology sectors. I have worked with Emmy award-winning clients, CEOs, & CES award-winning companies . In December 2020, I co-founded an organization for local independent businesses across the state of Illinois to support, grow & celebrate success together.
