Ankaa is a unique platform that charts the most complete picture of maritime employee data and certification in real time. Here I supported the in-house marketing department in promoting Ankaa to the international shipping community.

Provided part-time marketing assistance to this 100 year old charity organisation by coordinating a re-brand and launch of a new website and literature, as well as setting up social media accounts.

Primarily responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing plan which included website development, social media, advertising and direct email marketing. I was also involved in producing business development proposals and tender submissions, including the successful bid of ‘Preferred Supplier’ for a major maritime industry employer. Additionally, I played an integral role in our company’s annual strategy day which included the development of employee engagement sessions. Initially employed full-time and latterly on a Consultancy basis after the birth of my twin daughters in 2013.

I played an integral role in the initial business start-up and marketing of the joint venture company, Red the Consultancy (Europe) Ltd, now renamed Red Specialist Recruitment. This was a collaboration between two maritime recruitment businesses based in Glasgow and Singapore. During an exploratory and networking trip to Singapore, I made first contact with Red’s company Directors with whom the JV was established. During my time I managed a company-wide re-brand, developed a new website and coordinated the launch of the European office to the maritime industry. The company has since expanded into other sectors including financial services and oil and gas.

I set up the marketing department of The Clyde Group and at its peak was involved in marketing of ten companies within this predominantly maritime services group, covering Recruitment, Training, Travel and Healthcare services. I worked closely with several Company Directors, and Marketing Assistant, to form and execute marketing plans, as well as assist other companies within the Group with ad hoc marketing requirements. During my time here I managed a group-wide company re-brand, including the development of new websites and company literature. I also ran social media accounts and PPC accounts; managed on/offline advertising; developed content for newsletters and websites; and coordinated exhibition events. I also travelled to and worked alongside colleagues in Latvia, Poland and Singapore.
