Rotated through TNS departments, experiencing the differing research requirements of a variety of industries, whilst taking on both project management and insight roles - as part of the graduate scheme.

Time Period: June 2013 - August 2013 I 10 Weeks Secured a place on a highly competitive 10 week paid marketing internship at Nestlé.During my time I did the following:• Took ownership of a key project in Nestlé’s beverage division; to increase the online presence of Nestlé’s premium and super-premium coffee brands• Thoroughly investigated the online environment, the brands consumer typologies and liaised with key account managers and sales teams in order to produce both immediate and long-term strategies• Designed a creative solution to a marketing event issue, utilising previously unused social media platforms to resolve the problem and to accelerate brand awareness• Independently briefed the solution design to an experiential agency, through which a relationship had previously been built by attending advertising presentations• Presented e-commerce and social media recommendations to several stakeholders and senior managers• Produced content for an advertorial, including writing the content, briefing an agency for the images, solving formatting issues and negotiating on price• Attended additional non-project experiences to broaden my knowledge such as shopper marketing activities and workshops with companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Sainsbury’s• This experience confirmed my enjoyment of working in a fast paced environment and my ability to work under pressureThis internship gave me exposure to a wide range of areas, such as:• The day-to-day challenges of several roles, such as brand managers, business account managers, the online teams, shopper marketers and how they work together within a large FMCG company• Consumer typologies and their relationship to brands, insight analysis • Taking part in shopper marketing activities in order to understand in-store impact• An insight into the NPD process and ‘activation analysis’
