I consider myself a highly motivated, self starter, enjoy an upbeat positive environment, team player and relationship builder. I like to focus on building relationships within my environment, people feel more comfortable and work harder for those they have a relationship with. I have been in education for over 10 years. Having taught at brick and mortar schools and due to the shut down last year began teaching remotely. I returned to the classroom in the fall and realized how much I enjoyed working from home. During my years in education I have served on many committees, been director for UIL and science fair and even nominated by my principal (and won) an award for excellence in science teaching for the the state of Texas. Having educator skills can be transferred to the corporate world due to the extreme amount of job titles educators have. They are faced with many trials throughout each day including; student diversity, learning styles and abilities, parents, administration, TEA laws, deadlines, professional development, working environment, co workers, time management, data entry, creation of lessons and activities, implementation of changes as they come from the district, technical savvy, and must be able to think quickly and respond to any situation that may arise. Prior to education, I spent many years in the corporate world fulfilling a variety of roles from clerical, inventory specialist, accounting and customer specialist. I believe I would be an asset to any company with the variety of skills I posses, outgoing personality, works well independently or with a team, motivated for success, and a strong customer relationship mindset.
